Pit Players

[Current Mood |excitedexcited]

Well, with marching season over, I'm not technically in pit anymore...but, frankly, there's just no escaping (not that I'd want to!). Let's see...this season went pretty well, despite the fact that well more than a quarter of our unit was made up of rookies (aye!). We somehow managed to finish the season in pretty good standing...top ten for our group, top three drumline. Unfortunately, I'm not able to do indoor this season (*weeps*), but the show's still going to be awesome - and I have the convenient excuse of my brother being in the pit this season to tag along.

Gee, it's nice to be able to talk pit and band stuff...most times, people's eyes just sort of glaze over.

that stinks you can't do indoor, I *tear* for you. we're doing indoor, but no marching, its sad, the sports teams took all the gyms, so we have no where to practice marching. very sad. and i know what you mean about people's eyes glazing over, though usually the eyes i see just roll...

How long've you been playing percussion? I only started my freshman year...played saxaphone before that (well, and during)...but, somehow, pit's just a heck of a lot more fun.
